A Biographical Sketch Submitted By Julia, March 2004

(in response to the 50th Reunion Committee's first mailing)

"What a great job all of you are doing! Such an organized group - must be a result of that great BHS education. Why didn't it rub off on me?

Since the 40th reunion (1995) a lot has happened in my life. Widowed in '96, retired from Dental Hygiene in '95, worked with Hospice for a few years, then remarried in 2000, to a retired Northwest Airlines pilot named Chuck, in Yosemite. Such a lovely place for a romantic wedding. We now have four children and seven grandchildren between us.

My daughter is a Special Education teacher in Sandy UT, and my son is a physician in Pleasanton CA. She has two children and he has three. Chuck has a daughter and son-in-law that live in the Lake Tahoe area, and a son and daughter-in-law with two children that live in Southern California.

We keep quite busy traveling, visiting our children and grandchildren, and being with other family members. My other activities include tennis, hiking (did a Himalayan trek in 1999), swimming, skiing and snow-shoeing when possible, a little golf, dancing, movies, and theatre.

I thought life was supposed to slow down at this age. We are truly blessed! It will be great to see everyone."

Sincerely,

Julia (Wood) Burgess-Perrot
